NYC baby.

NYC was a blast, as usual.

Lots of shopping, but surprisingly I didn't come home with anything. Pretty much spent the day in SoHo, but we hit up a few other places on the way, Tokio7, Ina, and Pinkberry, MMMmmmmMMM love me some coffee with carab chips!

Anyway from what I saw at the SoHo Chanel I'm considering a Jumbo Caviar Leather Flap Bag. I think with my height that anything smaller is just going to look too small on me and I need to have the caviar leather because I will destroy lambskin.

I've been thinking about a few other things, I need a new belt.

32 mm reversible leather strap in Chocolate/Orange, Box/Togo calfskin (width : 1.25" ) & 5382 buckle, silver and palladium plated
Ref. 052000CAAA095 & 052170CK05
$570.00

I want something plain and that's going to last. I think this Hermes style is minimal chic and while a little bit pricey for a belt I'll have this forever. I really like the orange color and it's reversible to brown although there's a blue/black option that makes more sense since I barely wear anything brown.

Some jewelry choices on my mind....

Kelly Double tour bracelet, (2.5" diameter)
Ref. 054695CC89
$410.00

I think this bracelet is cute. I'm kind of worried that the clasp might get in the way but I still like it anyway. I'm wondering if it's available in any other color.

Mini Chaine d'Ancre Necklace in silver with horseshoe pendant (length 15.7")
Ref. 104066b00
$410.00

Cute necklace in sterling with a horseshoe, something I've been looking for.

11mm New Albion Ring

This ring, just not in this stone. The store in KOP said they can make it in my birthstone Pink Tourmaline.

Oh and I want to try this....

Summer Hair Wash & Wear
An instant spray shampoo.

School "FASHION" and PR review

I am almost positive this post will become an ongoing thing because everyday I see items that are attempting to be passed off as "clothes" and "fashion" and well they're not, and never will be.

Is getting dressed in the morning THAT BIG OF A DEAL? No it's not. It takes just as much time to throw on a pair of jeans and t-shirt as it does sloppy sweatpants and a grungy oversize t-shirt. I have been getting up early for school for years along with the rest of the world. And hey, if you don't have time to fuss over which shirt goes with which jeans, DO IT THE NIGHT BEFORE.

These do not count as getting dressed, EVER.

Nor do these.

To be continued....

So Project Runway last night?

I am surprised to say Leanne is stepping her game up seriously. I liked her garment best last night. It was definitely chic and she's really toned herself down while still staying true to her own style.

A close second favorite was Korto. While I found the garment slightly baggy (but not enough to seriously bother me) the seatbelt weaving was done exceptionally. I know she didn't have a choice on the color of the seatbelt but it ended up working to her advantage, the light tan looked great on her model.

So onto my least favorites, or just people who aren't really stepping up to the occasion.

Kenley
. In the first few episodes I was really into what she had to bring to the table. She varied slightly and while she still kept to her aesthetic it wasn't boring or completely expected. Well, this week was BORING. I realize her model did quit on her but that still doesn't help the fact that it was boring. The fact that the garment didn't really fit her new model at first didn't change the original design at all. Yeah she did make her own zebra print but it has that obvious vintage-y silhouette and well yawwwn.

Onto Keith. Is anyone surprised he is gone? I'm actually surprised he didn't go sooner. The construction of this was just terrible. The back was probably one of the biggest problems for me and even if the model hadn't sat down and torn the skirt the back of the top still would have been disgusting and hookerish with that netting. I considered feeling sorry for the fact that he felt insulted by their comments this week and last but it's the fashion industry and well not everyone is going to like everything you make. And I don't remember the exact wording of his parting words but he probably would have been better off sticking to his weird little fabric piece things than this. Going home for something not your style at all is probably extremely frustrating and dissapointing, so I guess that would be my slight bit of sympathy for him.

Soooo TRUE.

"For me, style is about not being afraid to try something new but being honest enough with yourself that even though "it" might be "fashionable", "it" might not be you."

I agree with this so much!

Back in Full Swing

Well it's my second day back. I can already tell this semester is going to be a dooooozy. Like usual I've started the semester doing work as soon as I get it, trying not to let it hang around. I'm guessing this will last about a week or so. I am QUEEN procrastinator.

I kind of feel like I ditched PerezHilton.com all summer. Since I wasn't at the old stomping grounds for work (aka: Powder Room) I actually did work and didn't have time to fuck around on the computer. I'm foreseeing a complete turnaround in terms of visiting. Perez, BagSnob, PurseBlog, Sartorialist, DecadesInc., and ShoeGoddess will be getting regular visits from me now that I'm back at school with a 4 HOUR BLOCK to do nothing, I mean homework and go to the gym. DUH.

I think I need a new tote for school. My Northface backpack gets annoying because I hate carrying a purse and a backpack because my shoulders just get all crowded. I guess I will start shopping around because I need something that will carry my laptop mostly because I don't believe in notebooks and pens anymore. This is the 21st century people, I don't know why more people aren't as obnoxious as I am and take notes on their laptop. I was thinking one of those longchamp bags? Or is that just as cliche and as a stupid Vera Bradley bag? Probably, maybe I'll just get another Lesportsac in a functional size for school.
