It all started yesterday. On the way to DBF's I stopped on Walnut Street to check out one of my favorite shops, Joan Shepp. They are great there and also have a fun selection of CLs. Coral leather simples stick out in my mind. Also adorable tri colored (grey, light blue and purple) Balenciaga flats! I didn't get anything but also headed to Barneys COOP, nothing there. After Barney's I decided I would stop at Saks. Found adorable Lanvin flats with a huge black satin bow but none in my size. Instead found these cute black velvet Miu Miu flats with a huge oversize bow, they had them in my size so I scored those!
I attempted to do some Christmas shopping today and failed horribly.
I met up with with my tpf friend sjunky13 at Neiman's, she did some shopping and I picked up my COH jeans (I dropped them off last weekend to be tailored). I returned a pair of Jimmy Choo flats that were too big. Had a sephora coupon so I did a little shopping, picked up some Bliss body butter lite and Fekkai glossing spray.
Decided to stop at the sanrio store and they had 35th Anniversary Tokidoki for Hello Kitty stuff. Saw this laptop case and had to buy it!
Finally I attempted to get DBF's present, a 500GB Lacie harddrive for his computer at the Apple store but of course it's an item they only have online so that squashed that idea. I will have to order online soon, free shipping!
I have no idea what that word means but it's the only way to express my excitement for the most fabulous ankle boots that are on their way to me. After all my diligent sleuthing, calling around, calling around more, and stressing. I have finally gotten my hands on the Christian Louboutin Nitoinimoi Ankle Boots!! Granted they are in a 1/2 size smaller than I preferred I think I can make these babies work. I know generally these boots run TTS but with the weird sizing this season I am hoping and praying it will work in my favor and I can rock them.
I thought I had secured myself a pair last night from the Barneys in LV, the SA told me he would call me today and let me know. He called with news while I was at lunch. The news was bad. The shoes were actually a 37 in the 38.5 box. 37 = no go. He tried to find me another pair but came up with nothing. I sulked around at work today and e-mailed a few stores thinking I would settle for black. Nordies was out, Saks only had all leather at 30% off, NM didn't carry them and I didn't call boutiques because I need to be able to return them if they don't fit/look good. I thought I might settle for not getting any and then after dinner I decided to take matters into my own hands. I started from the top of the Barney's store list. Madison said they would need the number to check, I didn't have it so the SA said he would look it up, check and call me back. Called Scottsdale and they didn't order the blue but the SA said he saw black in the system in a 38 but that it was on sale? Vegas said black was full price? So confused now. Anyway.... as soon as I hung up with Scottsdale David from Madison called and said he found me a 38! And there you have it! Persistence pays off ;-)
I find myself so busy these days, never have any time to update anymore. I've acquired a few things in the past few weeks. Ebay, sales, window shopping. I really love fall, perfect season for clothes. It's cooler but not freezing and the perfect time to wear sweaters, chic hats, and scarves!
I discovered Eugenia Kim hats at the Neiman Marcus outlet while frantically searching for good Louboutin deals. The hat wasn't a color I would wear so I ended up putting it back but I went home and discovered the style and brand. Found this hat on Blondette.com and for 50% off too!
Eugenia Kim 'Muffy' hat
A few weeks ago NM had a shopping night. I went with my friend and originally wasn't planning on buying anything. Found this awesome cashmere Vince sweater in black. Ironically enough I ended up finding it at T J Maxx a few weeks later in black, grey and oatmeal... of course I bought the grey and oatmeal...and for 1/2 the freaking price!! My mom liked my black one so much she bought the black one I found!
While I am no where near close to being able to afford my dream bag... a 35cm Birkin in Togo with Palladium Hardware, I did manage to pick up this Kelly Double Tour Bracelet in Etoupe Barenia leather. Love it, it's so cute and the color is so versatile!
I spotted this buffalo plaid vest at Gap while searching for sweaters and jeans. They didn't have my size at CH so I went all the way to Deptford to get this one... haven't worn it yet and I am still searching out a top to wear with it. Maybe I should just do what the model is doing and rock a henley with it?
I have been coveting this Bbag since this summer. Spotted it on Fleabay in like JUNE! but the price was just too high. They were both relisted several times before giving up. So a week or two ago they both pop up again! There were two listed, one was more and sold and the other one I was watching but missed the auction while I was doing something. I realized a 0 feedback bidder had one the auction so I contacted the seller and told them if they didn't pay I wanted the bag and I would pay ASAP. A week later they contacted me and I got a BIN complete with bing cashback! I loveeeeee it!! I hope I don't get addicted to Bbags!
Picked up my Louie yesterday. Got her handles replaced since they started to peel? Weird... just got her in February, the exact day the Sprouse line launched at KOP. It's weird with the brand new handles but I'm hoping they'll turn pretty quick.
So I may have actually lied about my Muse II. I thought it was the "Mira" color version of the highly coveted YSL Muse II but upon further inspection the sides on my muse (the one in the mail) are in fact TAN! I should be more careful when I go crazy with the BIN but in this case I think I like my version even more (and the 12% Bing.com instant cashback makes it even sweeeeter)! Upon further research from tPF, a fellow member discovered that this Muse may have been a limited colorway exclusive to France? Anyway... I am excited to get it.... I haven't had a big bag purchase since my LV Fuschsia Graff Speedy 30 and I was harping on that for months!
More updates to come.... I have been neglecting my poor blog!
It has been ages since I've written anything. I've done so much shopping since my last post. Too much shopping really. I've acquired several pairs of shoes and lots of clothes since the last I wrote. I went, I saw and I conquered the sales at Saks, Neimans, & Barneys.
Went to NYC a month or two ago for the Decades Two pop-up boutique. While I did not purchase anything from Decades I hit up my usual consignment shops. Tokio 7 and Ina (Soho, Noho, and Nolita) and other randoms. I picked up this Marc Jacobs dress at the Nolita location of Ina, or maybe it was Noho. I've been looking for this dress foreverrrr, it's several seasons old.
At Saks I got a DVF Jill wrap top (in pink, black is pictured but I couldn't find a photo of it and Prada bamboo wedges (mine are black patent, dark grey is pictured.)
From Barney's I got a pair Christian Louboutin light gold metallic Barcelona sandals, a deal I couldn't refuse. I also got a DVF Hazelle top in red (photo shows white, but same style.)
From Joan Shepp I purchased another pair of Christian Louboutin Barcelona Sandals in tan/natural leather, these were actually the first pair. I went in originally to just try them on and I was hooked. I got them on sale but not nearly as good of a deal as the Barney's light gold metallic pair.
From DVF.com I got another Jill wrap top. It was on sale and I couldn't help myself. They look great with jeans and go with pretty much everything!
In my Christian Louboutin mania I became obsessed with finding the Tigresse wedge in either colorway, the Zebra or Leopard. One random Sunday the online shopping Gods shone down on me and allowed Net-A-Porter to have my size, on sale and it happened to be the LAST pair! I am LOVING my summer wedges.
On my random clothing adventures I passed up on a Juicy top with a strawberry print. I regretted later but thought I would never find it in my size. As horrible as it can be sometimes Ebay came through and I got it in my size for a great price!
Last of all Neimans. Last week I became infatuated with Christian Louboutin aqua patent hyper prives. I searched high and low in a frenzy and came up empty handed. My *tpf forum CL angel* came through and was able to locate a pair for me, yay! I got them today but they are a little snug in the toebox. Off to the cobbler they went, hopefully to come back fitting perfectly. I took them to Rossi Shoe Service in Ardmore, PA as well as a pair to be soled with Vibrams, they look like they do exceptional work so we'll see come Friday.
