2nd Full Week of Work

So I've finished my second full week of work as a merchandise allocator. It's actually pretty good. The people I work with are really nice, it's a low stress environment and it's a pretty steady flow of work and I don't get too bored. Started my first day out in business casual, I wore a Theory shirt and skirt, opaque black tights and chunky DKNY pumps, the working environment ended up being wayyy casual and I wear jeans every day now, LOVE IT. I actually ended up retuning some of the business casual stuff I bought for work and bought some jeans, sandals and tees. I've been buying up a storm lately, UGH... I need to go on a ban till the sales start in May or whenever they start.

Someone needs to buy this for me this desk set for my cube!

Randomness

Just a quick note. Macy's has always been a somewhat good department store to me but since when do they carry contemporary designers like See by Chloe and LOVE Moschino????? I went in there tonight and saw a whole new section.... WTF? I guess they have to compete with the new Nordstrom.

Lola's B-day and Shopping

Enjoyed the nice day yesterday with Derek and my little bb Lola. Derek took her on a long walk in Hunsberger Woods and then we went out and bought her a ton of new stuff. Plush squeaky toys, three different kinds of her favorite healthy dog treats, some doggie snacks from the doggie bakery, and some other new chewy things like a pigs ear and a chew stick.

I had to make some returns at the mall so I went there afterwards. Ended up buying the DKNY dress I wrote about before and I was going to buy two other ones that were actually on sale but decided not to using my BETTER money saving judgement. Went to Neiman's to go try on the simple pumps and the new simple pumps and they had NOTHING in my size, cleaned out, and it's not like there was a sale going on or anything either.

Christian Louboutin Simple Patent Pump

I found these on the Saks website and I think I like them more than the regular leather version although I worry that I should be building my shoe collection with more plain leather pieces. Same price and although Saks lists them as bone I think the messed up and meant to put taupe. If I get them from Saks I get triple bonus rewards on my card. I am a bit concerned though about the 4'' heel. I can only see myself now falling on the stage getting ready to receive my diploma, LOL.

Graduation Ceremony

As most of you know I graduated in December, yay! Well my graduation ceremony is coming up in May and while I'm not entirely concerned about what dress I'll wear underneath, I am thinking mostly about the shoes! I thought about doing something bright and funky but in the end I think I'm going to go with a pair of CL's. I think I want to buy the Simple Pump 85 in Taupe. I'm going to have to go to Neimans or Saks and try them on but I'm thinking unless they have too much ugly toe cleavage that I will definitely go with these. The plain leather looks nice but I wonder if this color comes in patent? I will have to find out!

Blog Updates

I am finally figuring out how to maneuver around my blogger. I will slowly make this look like something of an actual blog. It might just be my crude sense of humor but models falling on the runway seemed to be an appropriate picture for my little catch phrase and I finally figured out how to get a photo up there. My photoshop skills are amateur at best, but I'm working on them!

Diane Von Furstenberg Hazelle Dress

I'm pretty much obsessed with DVF clothes. Her prints are amazing, they're comfortable, they have great silhouettes and are in luxurious fabrics (I LOVE SILK JERSEY). I bought this dress to wear to a wedding. I haven't gotten it in the mail yet so I don't know how well it is going to look on me. I hope I like it.

Nicholas Kirkwood

So apparently Nicholas Kirkwood may be one of the new "it" shoe designers. From Purse Addict to Shoe Goddess and various other websites I've seen A LOT of coverage for these shoes and they are an architectural shoe lovers DREAM.

I ABSOLUTELY love these shoes on LUISAVIAROMA.

If I had the $ I would most definitely buy them, work appropriate or not.

I LOVE Alber Elbaz, genius. When I do happen to make a lot of money I want Lanvin to fill my closet. The runway necklaces, dresses, skirts, tops, SIGH! I'm in love. This almost makes me want to wear fur. Is fur passe, or more appropriately do we still not approve of fur? If I'm not mistaken I remember several websites upset with Michelle Obama for choosing designer Jason Wu because of his interest in designing a fur collection, as I last heard his collection was postponed due to media scrutiny.
